Formulas for speed, distance and time

If you want to calculate km/h, put hours in the formulas for time (t) and kilometers for distance (s).
If you want to calculate m/sec, put seconds in the formulas for time (t) and meters for distance (s).

Speed

\(\displaystyle Speed = \frac{distance}{time} \;\;\; v=\frac{s}{t} \)
\(\displaystyle km/h = \frac{kilometers}{hours}\)    \(\displaystyle m/sek=\frac{meter}{seconds} \)

Conversion from km/h in m/sek

\(\displaystyle m/sek=\frac{km/h · 1000}{3600} = \frac{km/h}{3.6} \)

Distance \(\displaystyle \; s = t · v \)
Time \(\displaystyle \; t = \frac{s}{v} \)
