Description of the common divisor

The divisors of a number are all numbers by which this number can be divided without a remainder. Every number has at least two divisors, itself and one. Numbers that are greater than 1 and can only be divided by themselves and one without a remainder are called prime numbers. Any number that can be divided by multiple numbers is called a composite number.

The calculator above looks for the common divisors of two numbers. This means that the divisors are determined by which both given numbers can be divided without a remainder.
